Dumpster Tip: "You can eat normal worms but.. they're not for everyone!"

Rouxl's Roux

A thick, rich, nutty dark roux based "gloop" based off of the Rouxl's Roux item in Deltarune Chapter 1.

I really wanted to eat the dark weird gloop with worms in it. But i wanted to make it a mix of cursed and delicious!

This recipe has several iterations, the most ive made yet. This is the third and final iteration! Quite cursed but still yummy and easy to make.

Makes enough for 2 people. Or one. Depends if you eat alot. No shame if you can eat the whole thing.(to Prism it's impressive!)

Roux Recipe.
  • 3 Tablespoons butter, or animal fat (Prism doesn't suggest you use margarin)
  • 3 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • Soup + "Worms" Recipe.
  • 1/2 of Small Yellow Onion.
  • 2 peices of Bacon
  • 3 cloves of Garlic
  • 1 packet of Instant Ramen Noodles
  • 2 teaspoons of Gravy Mix
  • Black Pepper to taste

  • Dumpster Tip: "You can make it the dark unnerving color by adding food coloring to the soup. but not necessary."

    Roux Instructions:

In one saucepan melt butter and stir in flour on low heat. Stir often.

Once the roux turns a brown color (approx 30 mins) if you're good at multitasking you can cook your soup at the same time but you do want to keep an eye on the roux and stir often as to not burn it but to properly cook and toast it.

It should have a toasted taste and smell not a burnt one.

Either way you want the roux to be dark and thick enough when you run your spoon you can see the bottom and it won't immediately run back in to fill the holes.

Once done put take it off the heat and put it on the side, if you're worried about further cooking take it off of the pan and into a bowl.

    Soup Instructions:

Cook on medium until bacon is mostly cooked and the fat is rendered out.

Put your bacon in a corner of the pan to continue cooking as you add in garlic into the bacon grease.

Cook until light golden brown or toasted. It will be aromatic.

Place bacon and garlic on the sides and add in your onions and cook until caramelized.

Once caramelized add back in your gravy mix, bacon, garlic and Ramen noodles.

Deglaze the pan with enough water to cover the gravy mix, bacon, onions and noodles. Approx 2 cups.

Stir until gravy is dissolved and cook till noodles are cooked but still firm.

Add in the roux and stir.. stir..stir..

    It will thicken up.

    Once its a thick.. gloop?

    It's ready to be served

Add cracked black pepper to taste ontop of the roux.
